Lisa Amalfi-Chiera
Owner and founder of eCounselling Australia
Owner and founder of eCounselling Australia Lisa Amalfi-Chiera has lived with an invisable illness for over 20 years.
Originally trained as a Residential Youth Worker, and Drug and Alcohol Worker, Lisa moved her career to Counselling, Designing and Writing after she became a widowed Mum, in 2005.
Between 2010 and 2013 Lisa became allergic to 21st Century living. After many challenges Lisa found a management program that works for her, allowing her to continue her career, with a little help from modern technnology and the support of her geeky husband, family and friends.
As a Level 2 Member of the Australian Counselling Association and Member of Counsellors Victoria Lisa goal is to ethically support her clients. Clients who find themselves dealing with an issue where seeing a counsellor or life coach face to face is difficult (e.g.: rural life, invisible and/or other illness's, working, single parent, shift work, etc.). This is a service Lisa wished was available at times when dealing with her own life experiences.
To support her clients even further Lisa is currently researching how best to support clients experiencing trauma and grief and who are living with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. She hopes to present her findings at the next Australian Counselling Assocation conference. Colleagues and her husband have also dared Lisa to write a book on the topic... So maybe soon.
After being awarded a scholarship with Women in Leadership Australia for the Executive Ready program. Lisa embraced her training in life coaching and business coaching skills, to create eCounselling Australia, an online counselling coaching services that really just an internet connection away.
